Your Home DVD Movie Collection

DVD’s are a great way to watch movies and video. In a little less than a decade the DVD player and DVD have invaded the home of practically anyone with a television set. With so many entertainment choices available on DVD, it is hard to resist watching your favorite movie, seeing and listening to your favorite music videos or transferring your older video collection to this updated medium. There are even video cameras that now shoot and record directly to DVD. With so much of today’s media bought and created on DVD it is extremely important to be able to make a safe back up copy just in case your original media is damaged. We back up our important computer programs, why not our important media files on DVD.

There are many programs available to copy your original DVD media, making an exact copy on a recordable DVD. The only equipment necessary is a computer with a readable/writable DVD drive. Many of today’s computers come equipped with these types of drives. You can also purchase a stand alone readable/writable drive for less than $100.

Most DVD copy programs allow you to copy any DVD. So whether you own a large collection that you want to make a duplicate in the case the originals are damaged or if you have plenty of home made videos that you would like to send to friends these software programs allow you fast and easy duplication. Although probably not legal in many circumstances, many people do use this software to make copies of movies that have been rented or borrowed from friends to make copies for their own personal use. These uses are not advised by the software companies. But for fast, super easy copying of your DVD’s you can not go wrong with one of the high quality software products.
